In partnership with AMREF – ‘Stand Up for African Mothers’ initiative, last year we raised Ksh 30 million, which trained 1,500 Kenyan midwives. The overwhelming support and awareness created is testament that we are collectively committed to giving African children the right to grow up with their mothers.
As part of this continued partnership, we will host The Chase Group Foundation Walk 2015 on the 28th March 2015 from 8:00am at Ngong Road Forest Sanctuary. Have you saved the date? Will you be walking with us to #SaveAMum?
The funds raised contributed towards the reduction of maternal mortality by 25% in Africa through training 15,000 midwives by 2015. From the funds raised in 2014, we have trained a total of 5,909 midwives across Africa, and 1,500 midwives in Kenya.
We aim to raise more funds to continue training new midwives in rural Kenya, which will reduce maternal mortality by improving access to pre-natal care. This is our contribution to the Nation’s journey towards meeting Millennium Development Goal 5 concerning maternal health.
We understand that we cannot do it on our own and that is why we are calling on you to help us raise funds towards this cause through;
By sponsoring and partnering with us, you impact and influence the plight of the African mother. You will in return, receive acknowledgement and recognition as a champion of the “Stand Up for African Mothers” initiative and help fight against maternal mortality not only in Kenya but across Africa.
