On Saturday March 7th, The Chase Group Foundation kicked off its on-ground activation for the Save a Mum campaign at the Thika Road Mall(TRM) parking lot. The members of the team made a home out of the lot by pitching tents and having tables; here, interested shoppers could learn more about the Save A Mum campaign and in the process, feel moved enough to pledge their support by registering for the walk.
The day in itself was one of good cheer, the weather played nice and the sun managed to tone down her rather arduous rays, maybe as a show of her solidarity with the cause. Where there is music, there is merriment and good cheer, and the rather up beat live Dj sets further helped in raising the pace of the event. For the children present, there were bouncing castles for them to play on, and have them feel included in the exercise.
Along with the registration, other merchandise was up for sale such as Caramel flavored popcorn, branded caps, wrist bands, metallic key holders and water bottles proceeds from the sale of these items went towards supporting the cause.
The next activation is set for Nairobi Chapel this Sunday, 22nd March 2015, from 7:00am to 1:00pm.
